Halloween Weekend, 2015

Story told by: Lainey

We were so lucky to have Courtney here for Halloween weekend! She flew in from Colorado late on Thursday night.

As soon as she heard the pitter patter of our feet early in the morning, she came upstairs to play with us. She’s the best!

She even let me dress her up in a beautiful princess outfit.

On Friday morning we went to my preschool Pumpkin Party. There were lots of fun games!

I’m dressed up as Abby Cadabby from Sesame Street.

Henry loves cookies (as you can see in the picture), so he’s Cookie Monster from Sesame Street.

Brody was Elmo, but the party made Elmo tired. He needed a nap.

The Daddys hung out with the little guys.

Courtney was a huge help and chased Cookie Monster around the party.

This was a combined party for all of the preschool classes, which means I got to see Ivy!

We sure have fun together.

Ivy was very helpful with Henry.

I took a break from dancing with Ivy to decorate a cookie with Courtney.

My wonderful teacher, Mrs. Wilson, spent time with me while I enjoyed my cookie.

On Saturday night we got ready to go trick-or-treating. I’ve been counting down to this day!

I insisted on getting in the wagon with my brothers, so we all piled in.

We went across the street to Mark and Karen’s house first.

Mommy and Courtney hung out with Brody while Henry and I went up to each house to get candy.

About halfway through trick-or-treating it started sprinkling rain. Up went the umbrella!

And towards the end of our trick-or-treating, it started pouring. We did a couple more houses, and then we headed home. We were absolutely soaked (but it was very worth it for our yummy candy).

After we changed into dry clothes, we stayed home with Lane while Mommy, Daddy, and Courtney met up with Anjie to go to the WSU vs. Stanford game.

Mommy had her backpack on under her poncho, so Courtney needed to capture the marshmallow look it gave to Mommy.

I wasn’t exactly thrilled to find out that Mommy and Daddy had taken some of our candy. We worked hard for that!

It rained for most of the game, but oh what a game it was! Stanford is ranked #8 in the country, and the Cougs almost won. It came down to a heartbreaking missed field goal in the last few seconds of the game. Mommy and Daddy are so proud of how the Cougs played, but crushed by the near upset. Here’s to hoping for a great game against ASU next weekend!
