Story told by: Brody
I went to see Dr. Mike today for my two-year-old checkup!
I got to stand on the scale like a big boy.
While I waited for the nurse to bring in the measurements, I hung out with Mommy.
I spent a good amount of my time pondering this sign.
The nurse came in with my measurements:
Height: 3 feet (90th percentile) (Lainey and Henry were both 2 feet, 11.25 inches)
Weight: 35.6 pounds (greater than 100th percentile) (Lainey was 29.4 pounds, and Henry was 35.1 pounds)
While we waited for Dr. Mike to arrive, I started playing with the drawers. Mommy asked me not to do it because she didn’t want me to pinch my fingers.
“Wait, you don’t want me to play with this drawer? Surely I don’t know what you mean.”
Dr. Mike arrived and gave me lots of love and hugs. He checked me out, and I’m looking great! One of the tubes in my ear is about to fall out, and the other tube is still in place. Fingers crossed for no more ear infections once they fall out. Also, based on the number of times I’ve had to use my inhaler this past winter, it’s very possible I’ll get diagnosed with cold-induced asthma, but they won’t make that official diagnosis until next winter.
Dr. Mike gave me a football sticker, and then abandoned me to get my finger poked by the nurse (not cool, Dr. Mike). But, I’m a champ, and didn’t shed a tear with the finger poke. See you in six months!
