Fun with Grandma and Grandpa!

Story told by: Henry

We had a great last half of our trip with Grandma and Grandpa!!

On Monday morning we took Lainey to preschool.

Then while Mommy and Grandma ran errands in Moscow, Idaho, Grandpa, Brody and I went to the playground, and then wandered over to the police department. I got to sit in a police car, and then we got a tour of the department. So cool!

On Tuesday morning we went out to Dede’s farm to help feed the cows.

At first Brody wasn’t so sure he liked being this close to the cows.

I was ready to ride the cows, but Grandpa seemed to think that might not be a good idea.

One of the mommy cows had twins, and rejected one of the babies, so we got to give that calf a bottle.

Then we got to walk/drag the calf.

The calf licked my finger! It felt pretty funny.

Later that day we went on a walk to the vet with Grandma and Grandpa. We got to pet the kitty.

On the next day when Lainey went to preschool, we took Grandma and Grandpa to the science center.

After preschool we went to Old European for a yummy lunch. I tried buckwheat pancakes (which are gluten-free), and I LOVED them! It was nice for me to be able to eat something “normal.”

The next morning we made some turkeys to hang up on the walls.

We walked down to the field to fly some kites. (Can you believe it’s November and we’re not wearing coats?! We sure lucked out with the weather this week!)

Brody entertained himself by sliding down the hill.

And I mostly played in the dirt.

While we took naps (and then watched a movie with Grandpa), the girls had an afternoon of shopping!

Lucky Lainey got a giant peanut butter cookie (and a beautiful necklace from Grandma from the craft fair)!

Grandma bought Brody and I some awesome super hero costumes!

Then we headed to Fazzari’s for some of the best pizza!! I was thrilled to actually get to eat pizza. It was a gluten-free crust, and didn’t have cheese on it, but I loved it!!

I loved it so much that I ate the entire thing by myself!!

On Friday morning we went to the pool.

On Saturday Mommy and Daddy got to go on a date in the middle of the day (a rare event)!! While Mommy and Daddy were gone, we went on a date with Grandma and Grandpa to McDonald’s and the Dollar Store. It’s a win-win situation for everyone!

The Cougs had a 7:30 kickoff against Cal on Saturday night. We stayed with a babysitter, and the adults went to cheer on the Cougs.

Cougs win!!! We are now first place in the Pac-12, and #20 in the nation. It’s the first time we’ve won eight straight conference games since 1930. Wow!! It’s a great day to be a Coug!

On Sunday morning we got one last picture with Grandma and Grandpa before we had to take them back to the airport. We’ll sure miss having them here, but we’re looking forward to seeing them in several weeks for Christmas!

In order to ease the sadness of Grandma and Grandpa leaving, we went to Red Robin for lunch.

And then we got to pick out a piece of chocolate.

My sister forced me in to a giant shoe for a picture.

Lainey’s day was made when we walked around the corner to find “real, live” ballerinas! They invited her up on stage to dance with them.

This girl was in heaven!! So fun!
