Grandma and Grandpa Are Here!

Story told by: Lainey

We got to pick Grandma and Grandpa up at the airport last Thursday, and boy oh boy, we were counting down the days until their arrival! We love having them here!

As soon as we got home with them, Grandma pulled out some fun presents and we got right to work.

We went for a walk with them to go see the horse.

Then we went to the playground for a bit. (Notice my knee pads and elbow pads. Safety first!)

Then back to the house for more fun while we wait for dinner.

Books before bedtime.

I picked out a special craft to do with Grandma and Grandpa. We sat down together to do some Perler beads while the boys napped.

Grandpa helped me for over an hour!

The perfect unicorn!

On Friday evening the girls got to go to Nora and Lucy’s birthday dance party. I wore my fanciest dress!

The birthday girls!

Photo booth!

The boys got to stay home to watch a movie!

The next morning Grandma and Grandpa got to come watch Henry at gymnastics. He was beyond excited to show them his moves!

Around lunch time, all of the adults got to go to a Cougar football game! (We were a little jealous, but we got to stay with Taylor – one of our favorite babysitters ever!!)

Sweatshirts and 63 degrees in November?!?! Yes, please! And a 69-7 win over Arizona?!? Heck yes! Go Cougs!

The MOST ANTICIPATED EVENT OF THE TRIP was to watch the Trolls movie! That happened on Sunday afternoon!

I got a special Trolls snack pack (complete with a troll of my very own).

Henry is having some tummy issues right now, and his doctor wants him avoiding corn, wheat, dairy, and eggs, so Mommy packed a special treat that he could eat.

The movie crew! Brody and Daddy stayed home because Brody is just a little too wiggly for a movie, but we made sure to tell them all about how much we LOVED this. I laughed and smiled throughout most of the movie! Looking forward to another week with Grandma and Grandpa before they have to fly home!
