A few weeks ago I told Mommy that I really wanted to learn how to “read words.” Since I can recognize most of my letters, and I’m starting to learn what sounds they make, Mommy thought we could give it a try. We bought a set of Bob Books (which introduce a few sounds/letters per book), and we’ve spent ten minutes or less per day working on it. I just finished up the third book, and I’m loving it!
Mommy is also loving it. She may have teared up a little when we started and I sounded out my first word (it’s the teacher in her…she can’t help it). I can’t wait to devour more books!
