I finished my first year in Cubbies with AWANA tonight!
Tonight my family got to come to award night. We started by leading everyone in a few worship songs.
Then it was time for awards. As I received my award, the audience was told that I said 42 Bible verses this year. Pretty cool!
After everyone received their awards, I proudly showed Mommy my award and goody bag.
I completed the “A” on my Cubbies vest this year, and next year I’ll complete the “C.”
Taking a picture with my wonderful leader, Ms. Deb. She told Mommy that my verses are spot-on every week.
When we got home, I got to eat a popsicle that I picked out earlier this week as my reward for finishing my Cubbies book. It was delicious! (Henry didn’t get to eat one because every time Mommy and Daddy turned around after award night, Henry was shoving cookies/brownies from the dessert table into his mouth.)
I’ll leave you with a couple of videos Daddy took of the Cubbies leading worship last week (although we were missing quite a few kids). The first song, “Making Melodies,” is my absolute favorite!!
