We love Grandma and Grandpa!

Story told by: Lainey

Grandma and Grandpa have been here for a few days, and we’ve been having so much fun!

They arrived in town with ten minutes to spare before we walked out the door to go get my dance pictures taken. Here’s a little sneak peek of my adorable tap dance outfit. (I’ll be sure to post more once the recital happens in a couple of weeks.)

While I was getting my pictures taken, Henry hung out with Grandpa.

It won’t be long before Henry can do this on his own. He’s growing so quickly!

On Grandma and Grandpa’s first morning here we went to the farmer’s market. Henry wanted to wear a hat like Daddy. Cute boys!

It was a beautiful day!

Come on Henry, show those pearly whites!

Brody had a pretty comfortable ride.

We got some delicious cookies. Henry picked out chocolate chip, and I picked out chocolate peanut butter. Delicious!

While we ate our cookies, we listened to the live music.

Henry, I think you might have something on your face.

I got a dog balloon animal. It was easily the highlight of my day.

Brody had to eat, so while he ate with Mommy and Daddy, Henry and I went on a walk with Grandma and Grandpa.

And because I’ve learned that I can get most anything I want from Grandma and Grandpa, I came back with a beautiful heart necklace!

Henry got a fun fishing pole!

After we got some yummy cherries, zucchini, and bread at the farmer’s market, we walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch.

Daddy poses in his idea of a typical Lainey pose. I’m positive that I don’t ever look this crazy.

Cheers!

While Henry took a nap, Grandma and Grandpa took me to pick out a pool and slide for our house. I LOVE it! Once Henry woke up, we started playing. The water was really cold, but that didn’t stop us from jumping right in.

We played in the pool for an hour! We weren’t exactly thrilled to go inside for dinner.

Over the past few days, we’ve spent lots of time outside with Grandma and Grandpa. We went on a walk to see the animals at the local veterinarian’s office. Also, Grandma and Grandpa managed to not only get Henry in the swing, but to keep him fairly happy in the swing.

Daddy got the sprinkler out for us, and Henry tried to eat the water. He was obviously thirsty.

Grandpa got some cuddle time in with Brody while we napped.

Grandma helped to burp Brody. Look at his face! I’m pretty sure it says, “Help! What are you letting this woman do to me?”

I got to sit down to play a game with Grandma and Grandpa. I’ve been asking to play this matching game with them for the past two months, so I’m thrilled we can finally do it!

After we went to bed one night, the adults sat down to play Mexican Train. Grandma was laughing so hard in this picture. Isn’t she silly?

Brody is really lucky. He got to stay up late with them. I’m a little envious!

He sure is cute, though. I often walk past him and say, “Awwww…sweet Brody,” or “He’s so cute. I love him.” We still have several days left with Grandma and Grandpa, so I can’t wait to see what the next few days have in store for us!
