Story told by: Henry
I had my first birthday party with my friends today! It was a construction-themed party, which was lots of fun. This post is filled with the party decorations.
We had fun tape on the door that read “Birthday Zone.”
This sign welcomed each crew member to my construction site.
Daddy worked hard on creating a timeline of my first 12 months. He made an awesome crane and wrecking ball!
Mommy made paint brushes with wet paint. (The idea might have looked a little easier on Pinterest. While some of the paint brushes stood up perfectly, others bent in half. Oh well, it’s the thought that counts.)
Instead of cupcakes, everyone received a yummy cup of dirt.
And I had a delicious cake all to myself!
As each crew member arrived, they were given a hard hat and an apron. Safety first!
Lainey helped to model the construction attire while I took my nap before the party.
This was the building zone filled with legos and blocks.
Crew members could practice their hammering skills at this station.
There was also a blueprint station where everyone could perfect their coloring skills.
There was a very important work order to follow.
Mommy insisted on putting this sign up by the bathroom. I was secretly hoping this party would give me full access to the toilet, but she spoiled my fun.
On their way out, the crew members received a treat for all of their hard work.
