Story told by: Henry
It was my first Halloween, so I couldn’t wait to see what it was all about! My sister could barely contain her excitement all day, so I knew it had to be good.
Once Daddy got home, we headed out for trick-or-treating. I was quite cozy in my warm horse costume.
I’m not sure how I feel about being Lainey’s sidekick, but if I wait patiently, I’ll find a way to reverse these roles in a few years.
Our friends showed up, so we were ready to go. Mya was a ladybug, and Oliver was a minion. Oliver and his family drove all of the way from Montana to stay with us for the WHOLE weekend. So much fun!
I hung out in the wagon, while everyone else went crazy for candy.
Lainey was often way ahead of the group. When it comes to candy, she doesn’t mess around.
In fact, she didn’t even have time to stop to go to the bathroom. Lainey promised Mommy that she didn’t have to go potty. Sure, Lainey.
I was getting quite tired, but I was a very patient and happy horse.
Lainey was a little unsure when the witch answered the door, but the witch had candy, so Lainey quickly got over her fears.
When we got home, Oliver and Lainey spread their candy out and got to indulge in a few pieces. I had to go to bed, but next year will be my year! Happy Halloween!
