Story told by: Lainey
Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for the last ten days! We love it when they come to visit!
As soon as they walked in the door, Grandma surprised me with “Lion King.” I love this movie. Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!
One of our first trips was to Ferdinand’s to get some delicious ice cream and cheese.
Over the course of their visit, we took many walks to the local vet to see the animals. We got to know this kitty very well. We named her “Blackie” (although we later found out her name is actually Zena).
They also had a week-old calf at the vet. That was really neat!
Grandpa even got to feed her a bottle (there was no way I was going to let that hungry calf get near me).
On one of our walks we headed over to see the Colton high school football game. Go Wildcats!
I also played kickball with Grandpa.
Mommy, Daddy, and Grandpa went to see the WSU vs. University of Oregon football game (while Grandma, Henry, and I went out to dinner and picked out some special toys at the dollar store).
Mommy got in some great quality time with Grandpa.
The Ducks were ranked number two in the nation, but the Cougs made it into a GREAT game! They only lost by seven points. Pretty darn good!
We had some relaxing mornings around the house. (Notice Henry standing. This is when he’s happiest. He’s starting to move around a little while standing as well.)
I took a unique approach to styling hair. I stayed busy with my clients each morning.
On one morning, Grandpa helped Daddy put up the Christmas light hooks. (Way to be on top of things, Daddy!)
We had many fun excursions! They came with me to story time at the library. In between baby story time and toddler story time, I entertained them with my puppeteering .
They also got to watch me and Henry in our swimming lessons. Every time when I head into the aquatic center, I see this statue.
And every time I have to stop and mimic it.
We got some yummy cupcakes!
And Grandma and Grandpa got to come to my dance class.
Henry loves being outside, so Grandma made sure to spend lots of time in the great outdoors with him.
Grandma thinks that Henry looks so much like Daddy!
I got dressed up for our last day with Grandma and Grandpa. I was pretty bummed to have to drop them off at the airport, but we’ll get to see them in December. Thanks for such a fun visit Grandma and Grandpa!
