Story told by: Henry
We headed to the west side of the state this weekend to see our friends, Victoria, Karl, and Addie.
Lainey is always well-equipped with her books.
At a pit stop in Ellensburg. Gotta look good for the ladies.
And I suppose that Lainey looks good as well.
We stopped for lunch at Taco Time in North Bend. These two goofballs sure keep me entertained.
Mommy did some clothes shopping for me and Lainey in the outlet mall. We had lots of time to keep ourselves entertained. Lainey started with a sucker while I ate a delicious bottle.
Lainey got to ride in the firetruck. I’m not sure why no one gave me the same opportunity. Second child, I guess.
I did get my shirt stuck on my rather large head, and I found it hilarious.
We finally made it to their house, and got right to work with playing.
Isn’t Addie adorable?!
On Friday night, I went to bed and slept like a champ! Rumor has it, my sister did not. This picture was taken at 1 a.m.
After a restful night of sleep, we went to the Seattle Aquarium. We got to talk to Kevin the scuba diver.
My sister wouldn’t cooperate for the picture (shocking), so they got a nice tuft of her hair in the frame.
Courtney met us at the aquarium! Last time I saw her, I wasn’t feeling so great from my reflux, so I made sure to show her how happy I can be.
Touching the starfish. (Don’t worry…it’s allowed.)
Addie insisted on eating the eel. I don’t blame her. I wanted to do the same thing.
Smile!
The jellyfish were mesmerizing.
I especially loved the octopus. I had a lot to say to him, but he kept quiet. He’s obviously not very polite.
Lainey got an octopus on her hand. (Don’t worry Mom and Dad, I didn’t want one anyways.)
We got to see lots of cool fish and exhibits!
Climbing on the whale lasted for about two minutes before a time-out was needed for my sister. The crying that followed was a little ridiculous. Doesn’t she know we’re in public?
That’s definitely the cutest shark I’ve ever seen.
After the aquarium, we went to Red Robin. You can tell that Lainey had a blast (and that I am SO over this girl’s temper tantrums).
After a full morning, we were asleep in the car within minutes.
Once we got home, Lainey, Addie, and I took naps while Mommy and Victoria went to get pedicures. They also got coffee on the way home. This made them quite happy.
After a delicious dinner of ribs (prepared expertly by Karl), we went to bed while the adults played Mexican Train. Daddy continued his streak of losing, while Karl continued his streak of winning.
We were up early on Sunday morning, so we went out for a bike ride.
And then it was time for pictures. Come closer, Addie.
Does she look concerned to you?
The only way we could get Lainey to cooperate was to bribe her with the chance to sit on the car during the pictures.
After we took pictures, we had lunch and then we had to leave. We LOVED our time with the Campbell family. Thank you for hosting us for the weekend!
Before we drove back across the state, we met Na Na and Ba Ba for ice cream.
Lainey sure enjoyed her treat!
We found some fun statues nearby.
Ba Ba walked us back to the car. By this point, we were exhausted and slept for the first hour and a half of the trip! We behaved almost perfectly after that, and everyone made it home with smiles on their face.
