Story told by: Lainey
My friend, Emma, brought her Mommy and brother, Cole, to visit this week! They used to live here, and had to move away in 2013. We’re so happy to have them staying with us for a week!
We had lots of fun with bath time. We could barely move, but we didn’t care. The more the merrier!
We couldn’t wait to share books with each other. Emma is a smart preschooler, so she had lots to say.
Daddy walked Emma and I to the park one evening while Mommy was making dinner. I may be just a tad bigger than my friend.
After church we went to Cougar Country. We entertained ourselves with silly faces while Daddy waited for the food.
She’s so weird.
Emma’s beautiful Mommy, Chelsea.
We got to have a “Frozen” movie night in our PJs. This may have been the highlight of our week!
I’m sure happy Emma is here.
Daddy made some great popcorn!!
On another day, we went to see the bears at the WSU research facility.
The bears were sleeping, so we tried to help out by yelling. The bear opened his eyes, gave us a quick glance, and went back to sleep. We obviously weren’t persuasive enough.
This bear eventually got into the bathtub and played with toys. He takes baths just like me?! How cool!
We had a picnic at the park.
Cole gobbled up his strawberries (and most of mine).
We weren’t feeding Henry enough, so he helped himself to the chips.
We brought bread to feed the ducks, so after lunch, we got to work.
There were so many ducks, but I had no fear. At one point, I was dancing in the middle of a crowd of ducks.
Henry and Cole just hung out and watched the action.
Henry is so happy to have another boy in the house this week!
After feeding the ducks, we were going to walk to the park, but about two seconds into our walk, I fell (because I just couldn’t resist running). Mommy said that I was a very brave girl. I needed three band-aids on my knee, one on my wrist, and I had two more owies on my other knee and wrist. Mommy asked me if I wanted to go home, but I insisted on heading to the playground.
I could barely walk, though, so Chelsea gave me royal treatment.
The nighttime routine was sure crazy around our house!
Henry started eating peas this week, which was very entertaining for all of us. His look says, “Mommy, I’m going to hurt you if you give me any more of this stuff.”
We all piled into the wagon and walked down to the park.
Despite all of the toys at the playground, we only wanted to play with the rocks (and Cole just wanted to eat them).
Emma and I got in lots of coloring this week.
Emma and I had a picnic with fruit snacks to celebrate me going pee pee in the potty. I’ve loved having my friend here this week, and I can’t wait until they come to visit again!!
