Story told by Lainey
I turned two today! Mommy and Daddy can’t believe that I’m getting to be such a big girl.
I woke up at 5:15 a.m. to start celebrating as early as possible!
Daddy started my day off right by making me a Minnie Mouse pancake.
I helped Daddy add cinnamon chips to make the face.
This was our joint effort. I blame Daddy for the misplaced chips. He obviously wasn’t being very careful.
Time to eat my huge Minnie Mouse pancake!
Mommy let me add a little Nutella to my pancake. Delicious!
Mommy and I made my birthday cupcakes yesterday, and I have been requesting them ever since. Mommy wouldn’t let me have them for breakfast, so I climbed into my chair to eat my pretend cupcakes. Take that, Mommy.
After breakfast I got to open my presents!
My favorite present of the day was the stroller from my great grandma and great grandpa. Thank you for such a wonderful gift!
Go Cougs!
A Minnie Mouse DVD!
A Cougar water bottle that is just like Daddy’s water bottle (except mine is kid-sized and pink).
A new baby from my friend, Adelee.
I had to take my new baby for a walk right away.
A book about being a big sister from Courtney and Matt. Thank you!
Grandma and Grandpa sent me a diaper bag with diaper-changing supplies, so I decided that my new baby needed to be changed right away.
Mommy and Daddy gave me a car seat for my babies. I am slightly obsessed with Henry’s car seat, so they hope that this will satisfy me.
Grandma and Grandpa gave me a pair of squeaky Cougar shoes. They sound like a squeaky dog toy with every step. I absolutely love them!
I insisted on wearing them all day long (and I would have even worn them for my nap if Daddy hadn’t made me take them off).
Then I had my swimming lesson.
Daddy and I are perfecting my cheerleader moves.
After swimming we went home to have lunch. For dessert, I FINALLY got to eat one of the chocolate cream cheese cupcakes that Mommy and I made.
Mommy and Daddy sang “Happy Birthday” to me and then I blew out my candles (with a little assistance from Mommy).
So delicious!
After my nap, we went outside and found my final present from Grandma and Grandpa. I love my wagon!
We took my wagon on its maiden voyage.
And my day wouldn’t be complete without a temper tantrum (all because Daddy wouldn’t take me where I demanded). Doesn’t he know it’s my birthday?!
After our walk, we drove in to Pullman for my birthday dinner (notice my baby in her car seat).
We went to Cougar Country, which I love!!
I had a delicious corn dog and french fries.
I have recently learned to love dipping my fries in ketchup. Yum!
After the fries were gone, we had ice cream for dessert. Once we got home, I got a special birthday bubble bath. Thanks Daddy and Mommy for such a fun day. So far, I love being two!
