**Disclaimer from Lainey…Mommy strongly suggested that I let Henry make his first blog post. I’m a little hesitant because there’s no way he could possibly explain things as well as I do, but since Mommy is threatening me with timeout, I have to listen. So here’s a fairly decent (but not perfect) blog post by my little brother.**
Hello world! I’ve only been home for one week, and it’s been quite the adventure so far. First of all, I was pretty sure I was supposed to be the one doing a lot of spitting up, but my family members seem to win the prize for the most “spit-ups” this week.
Second of all, my big sister seems to love me a lot. This love is displayed with a lot of in-your-face touching, kissing, hugging and loving.
I’m okay with this (mainly because I have no other choice), but at some point I’ll be able to express my opinion. Just wait for that day Lainey.
She also seems a little confused about my name because she keeps calling me “Hommy” (with the short “o” sound like in the word “got”). Let’s hope she gets it eventually.
She does seem like a pretty nice sister, though, so I guess I’ll keep her.
Later in the week, everyone got me excited about this thing called a “bath.” They told me it would be fun and soothing.
They were liars. Big liars. Does this look fun and soothing?!
Let’s hope I never have to do this again.
After the bath, Lainey and Daddy wrapped me up so I could warm up and recover from such a traumatic experience.
Still trying to process exactly what just happened to me.
One of our first outings was to go get frozen yogurt.
Lainey sure loved her yogurt!
The frozen yogurt looked delicious, but all Daddy would give me was this bottle. The bottle was pretty good, but it doesn’t exactly seem fair that Lainey got to have something that looked so darn yummy. If I knew how to throw a temper tantrum, it would be happening right now.
While I finished eating, Lainey entertained everyone at the frozen yogurt shop with some dancing.
I also worked on some tummy time this week.
I wasn’t nearly as excited about it as Mommy and Daddy.
Ba Ba arrived halfway through the week. I enjoyed spending time with him!
The final project of the week involved Ba Ba trying to fix the ice maker on our fridge. It worked! This man must be a genius!
Na Na and Ba Ba flew home this morning. I thought they lived here, but apparently not. I’ll miss them, and hope they come to live with us again soon!
