Happy Valentine’s Day! I had such a fun day with my family celebrating the love we have for one another.
Mommy and I woke up bright and early to make a raspberry cheesecake. (This really means that I woke up bright and early and dragged Mommy out of bed, so she decided that we might as well put our time to good use.)
I love it when we get to “mits” (mix).
Reading the labels to make sure we use only the best ingredients.
Time to bake the cheesecake!
While the cheesecake was baking, Mommy and I worked on the heart-shaped meatloaf.
Ready to go in the fridge until dinner.
Our next event of the day was craft time!
My favorite part was gluing on all of the fluffy “balls.”
We also made a heart person. I chose/demanded the blue eyes.

Then we got to work on coloring some hearts. My color of choice was black (because that’s perfect for Valentine’s Day, right?).
Trying to stay focused on my coloring, but Mommy is making me laugh.
Decorating a sign for Daddy.
We put this on the back door so it would be the first thing Daddy saw when he got home. He loved it!
It’s almost time for dinner. The heart-shaped meatloaf is out of the oven!
Our fancy Valentine’s Day dinner table. (Notice my hearts hanging from the chandelier…I kept commenting on how “pitty” they were.) For dinner we had heart-shaped meatloaf, pink mashed potatoes, crescent rolls, salad, and Shirley Temple drinks.
Pictures with Mommy before dinner.
Let’s eat!
After dinner I finally got to open presents (it was all I could do to be patient while Mommy and Daddy finished eating).
Thanks Ba Ba and Na Na for the card with some great Elmo stickers!
I got two great Valentine’s Day books from Mommy and Daddy.
Grandma and Grandpa sent me another Doodlebops DVD. Hurray! More Mo, Dee Dee, and Rooney!
Checking out the rest of my bag from Grandma and Grandpa (while also wearing my heart-shaped sunglasses).
Eating my first ever conversation candy heart. Yum! I see more of these in my future.
Grandma and Grandpa sent Mommy some Cougar pasta. Fun!
I gave Daddy some yummy chocolates.
Mommy gave Daddy a Life is Good t-shirt that says “Father Mows Best.” Daddy truly loves to mow the lawn, so it’s perfect!
After presents, it was time for some raspberry cheesecake. Boy, I sure did a good job of making this. It was delicious!
After dessert Daddy surprised me with the special treat of a bubble bath.
This was easily the highlight of my day. I talked about it for the rest of the night!
Modeling the perfect Valentine’s Day PJs.
Ending the night reading one of my new books. (Notice how I’m not sitting in Mommy’s lap. I’m a big girl now, so I don’t need to sit in anyone’s lap while reading. I’m pretty insistent about this.)
I had a great Valentine’s Day! I always love Mommy and Daddy, but it was fun to find extra special ways to show it today!
