A Day in the Life

Mommy wanted to capture a typical day in my life, so we tried to document the events of our day. We did our best to capture moments from sunup to sundown.

This is my typical look when I first wake up.

I typically pick out a book right away in the morning, but today I wanted to listen to my music box.

Time for a diaper change and to get dressed.

Like normal, I take my sweet time coming down the stairs.

Prayers and breakfast.

Making my babies comfortable while Mommy cleans up breakfast.

Time to help with laundry!

I love pressing the button.

I always have to wait until I see the water.

It’s almost time to leave the house, but I first have to pick out my headband. (I recently started refusing to put on a headband unless I picked it out.)

I thought I wanted purple.

But it turns out I wanted white with polka dots.

Ready to head into town!

Our first stop of the morning was the bank.

Then we had a quick stop at Michael’s.

The highlight of our morning was meeting my friends, Lucy and Nora, at Bonkerz.

Time for a snack.

I also found my friends Ivy, Kylie, and Daisy there, so I sat down to help myself to snack number two with them.

On our way home we stopped to get the mail.

When we got home, Mommy started making lunch. I did some break dancing.

Lunch!

Working on more laundry. You can call me “Cinderella.”

Throwing a temper tantrum because I don’t want to go upstairs.

Going up the stairs as slow as humanly possible.

Time for a nap. My efficient way of getting into bed.

Good night, Mommy. I love you.

About five minutes later, Mommy finds this. Oh, you didn’t leave me in my room to read books?

Okay, I’ll put the books away. We typically do this routine once per nap time. Today Mommy was lucky enough to get to do this six times. I was so happy to see her each time, but she didn’t seem to find it quite as amusing.

I finally fell asleep, though. Here I am waking up from my nap.

After Mommy finishes loading the dishwasher, she lets me push the button. My favorite thing!

Then we go downstairs so I can watch an episode of “Doodlebops” while Mommy folds laundry.

Then we head back upstairs so I can play with toys while Mommy gets dinner started.

Daddy had a late meeting, so it was just me and Mommy for dinner.

Daddy came home soon after, though. This is what I always do when I hear Daddy…I run up to the back door, and when he gets close to coming in, I run away as fast as I can.
