A Day in the Life

Mommy wanted to capture a typical day in my life, so we tried to document the events of our day. We did our best to capture moments from sunup to sundown.

This is my typical look when I first wake up.

DSC00747

DSC00748

I typically pick out a book right away in the morning, but today I wanted to listen to my music box.

DSC00755

Time for a diaper change and to get dressed.

DSC00756

DSC00759

Like normal, I take my sweet time coming down the stairs.

DSC00761

Prayers and breakfast.

DSC00766

DSC00770

Making my babies comfortable while Mommy cleans up breakfast.

DSC00773

Time to help with laundry!

DSC00775

I love pressing the button.

DSC00777

I always have to wait until I see the water.

DSC00780

It’s almost time to leave the house, but I first have to pick out my headband. (I recently started refusing to put on a headband unless I picked it out.)

DSC00783

I thought I wanted purple.

DSC00786

But it turns out I wanted white with polka dots.

DSC00788

Ready to head into town!

DSC00790

Our first stop of the morning was the bank.

DSC00794

Then we had a quick stop at Michael’s.

DSC00796

The highlight of our morning was meeting my friends, Lucy and Nora, at Bonkerz.

DSC00799

DSC00800

About to head down the slide.

DSC00801

DSC00803

Time for a snack.

DSC00810

I also found my friends Ivy, Kylie, and Daisy there, so I sat down to help myself to snack number two with them.

DSC00813

On our way home we stopped to get the mail.

DSC00819

When we got home, Mommy started making lunch. I did some break dancing.

DSC00822

Lunch!

DSC00826

Working on more laundry. You can call me “Cinderella.”

DSC00829

Throwing a temper tantrum because I don’t want to go upstairs.

DSC00831

Going up the stairs as slow as humanly possible.

DSC00835

Time for a nap. My efficient way of getting into bed.

DSC00837

Good night, Mommy. I love you.

DSC00838

About five minutes later, Mommy finds this. Oh, you didn’t leave me in my room to read books?

DSC00839

Okay, I’ll put the books away. We typically do this routine once per nap time. Today Mommy was lucky enough to get to do this six times. I was so happy to see her each time, but she didn’t seem to find it quite as amusing.

DSC00843

I finally fell asleep, though. Here I am waking up from my nap.

Reading a book with Mommy.

DSC00847

Bringing in the books Mommy had to put in the hallway while I was resisting my nap.

DSC00849

DSC00851

Silly face.

DSC00852

Snack time.

DSC00854

Intent on coloring.

DSC00859

DSC00860

After Mommy finishes loading the dishwasher, she lets me push the button. My favorite thing!

DSC00861

Then we go downstairs so I can watch an episode of “Doodlebops” while Mommy folds laundry.

DSC00866

DSC00872

Then we head back upstairs so I can play with toys while Mommy gets dinner started.

DSC00877

Mommy helps me with some stickers.

DSC00879

DSC00883

DSC00884

Helping Mommy finish making dinner.

DSC00886

Daddy had a late meeting, so it was just me and Mommy for dinner.

DSC00887

Daddy came home soon after, though. This is what I always do when I hear Daddy…I run up to the back door, and when he gets close to coming in, I run away as fast as I can.

DSC00888

Daddy!!!!!!

DSC00891

I love it when Daddy comes home!

DSC00892

My excitement was slightly diminished, though, with a temper tantrum and a timeout.

DSC00894

Then it was time for a bath. I normally love bath time with Daddy, but tonight I was crabby. Very crabby.

DSC00897

Feeling a little better sitting in Daddy’s lap.

DSC00898

PJs!

DSC00900

DSC00902

Flossing.

DSC00904

Brushing my teeth. Not my favorite thing, but I tolerate it most nights.

DSC00906

DSC00907

DSC00910

I always get to pick two books to read before bedtime.

DSC00914

Putting on socks (which I demanded).

DSC00915

Bedtime prayers.

DSC00918

I always end my night with a kiss from Daddy,…

DSC00920

…and a kiss from Mommy.

That’s a typical day for me. I can’t wait to wake up tomorrow and do it all over again!

Enhancing the Kitchen

While Mommy was busy this afternoon, I decided to decorate the kitchen.

DSC00742

I wanted to make sure this was as permanent as possible, so I naturally chose the non-washable crayons.

DSC00743

I also decorated down the hallway for good measure.

DSC00744

While I instantly regretted my choice, I still stand by my artistic skills. It seems, though, that Mommy might appreciate my creativity displayed in different ways.

Change of Plans

Mommy, Daddy, and I went outside this afternoon to go play at the playground. It turns out it was much colder than we realized, so we took a brief walk to the post office instead.

DSC00721

I insisted on holding only Daddy’s hand!

DSC00723

DSC00727

Daddy trying to teach me about my shadow. I had no idea what he was talking about.

DSC00729

A successful (and cold) trip to the post office!

I love Grandma!

I have had so much fun having Grandma visit us in Washington the past few days!

I’m sad that she has to go home soon. However, I’m very excited to see she and Grandpa in March!

Pullman Baby Shower

Written by a guest blogger, Mommy.

I had a fantastic shower in Pullman today and was surrounded by wonderful friends and family. It was held at Jenny’s house, and hosted by Jenny and Lauren (with contributions by many other friends).

DSC00663

Almost 34 weeks (with my acrobatic daughter in the background).

DSC00667

The theme of our son’s room is going to be “monsters.” In accordance with this, Jenny designed an adorable monster book for each guest to decorate and sign with notes to our son. How cute!

I was thrilled to be able to have my mom and Debbie fly in from Illinois to attend the shower! What a treat!

My sweet friend, Brooke.

What a wonderful shower! I felt so much love from my fantastic friends. Thank you to all who attended and showered my little guy with lots of gifts. Only five more weeks until he arrives!

Baby Shower On The West Side

Mommy’s good friend, Michelle, threw a baby shower on the west side of the state for Mommy and my baby brother.

DSC00558

I got to attend this shower because it was bright and early in the morning (as opposed to during my nap time). Aunt Janet and Carly drove up to Michelle’s house with us.

DSC00560

My brother’s nursery is going to have a monster theme, so Michelle did a good job of incorporating that into the baby shower.

DSC00568

As soon as Adelee arrived, I was attached to her side!

DSC00570

In preparation for my little brother, I practiced holding Adelee.

Michelle planned some fun games for the baby shower.

DSC00581

I entertained myself by drawing with marker (some of which ended up all over my clothes).

Mommy got some awesome gifts from her wonderful family and friends! My brother is going to be one stylin’ little guy.

DSC00643

Towards the end of the party, Michelle let me play with some of the decorations. I loved that part!

Mommy with her friends (minus Courtney who had to leave early).

As a fun surprise, Michelle got a shirt for my little brother and me. I love it!

Thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate the upcoming arrival of baby boy Robinson!
