We made sugar cookies tonight!
Daddy and I mixed the flour and baking powder while Mommy mixed the other ingredients.
We make a great team!
Once I got bored, I started playing with the cookie cutters.
Modeling my cookie cutter bracelet.
I see you!
Then it was time to roll out the dough and start cutting out some cookies.
After cutting out each cookie, I left my fingerprint in most of them (as you can see in the tip of the candy cane). I just want these cookies to be unlike any others you’ll see.
Our first batch is ready to go in the oven!
Checking on the cookies. They’re looking yummy!
We had Christmas music playing, so while I waited for the cookies to finish baking, I did some dancing.
Tired out from the dancing, so I brought my chair in to take a break.
Mommy and Daddy were talking about how Christmas is a way to celebrate the birth of Jesus. I recognized the name “Jesus” and ran to get my Bible.
I sat there quietly reading my Bible while Mommy and Daddy slaved away on the cookies.
We’re going to frost the sugar cookies on Christmas Eve with Na Na and Ba Ba, but Mommy let me have a plain cookie after dinner.
I was one happy girl!
We ended the night by reading “The Elf on the Shelf.” It’s a new book that Grandma and Grandpa sent to me as an early Christmas present. It also comes with an elf, but Mommy says the elf won’t really come out to play until next year.
Only three more days until Christmas and I can’t wait!
