Gingerbread Houses, 2013

We had our annual Home Group Christmas Party tonight where we eat yummy food and decorate gingerbread houses.

Daddy working on putting together the house. Mommy and Daddy had to take turns working on the house because the other one was chasing me around the house. It was a blast!

I took a little break from running around the house to help Daddy.

And by “help,” I actually mean eat candy. I’m a great helper!

Mommy and Daddy’s theme for this year was a gingerbread school house and playground. Here is Daddy putting on the tower with the school bell.

Mommy and Daddy’s finished product. It was a bit of a rough year for their gingerbread house. They blame it on chasing a toddler around. I blame it on their inability to multitask.

They appropriately labeled their school as an inner city school. They had a swing set, hopscotch, and a broken tetherball. I can only imagine what they’ll come up with next year once they are chasing me AND my brother around.

Finally finished, which is good because I am out of patience (although I know it’s hard to tell by this picture).

It was a fun night full of candy and good friends! Hopefully Mommy and Daddy can get their act together and come up with a better product next year!
