Time for stockings!

DSC00419

Finally time for presents!

DSC00422

As soon as I opened each present, I would yell, “Help, help, help” until someone would open the package/undo the ties. They just weren’t moving fast enough for me today.

DSC00425

Elmo! My favorite! Thanks Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Adams!

Notice my sandals. Every little girls needs sandals and socks on Christmas.

DSC00459

I love my new coat from Grandma and Grandpa!

DSC00463

In fact I loved it so much that I wanted to wear it for most of the morning.

DSC00467

My mug for Daddy that says, “Software Engineer By Day, World’s Best Dad By Night.”

DSC00484

I almost fell asleep while modeling my comfy, new PJs.

Daddy’s new speaker for his radio from Ba Ba.

DSC00493

I had to take off my coat so I could try on my beautiful tu tu.

DSC00498

Bowling with Uncle Jaron.

DSC00501

After we opened presents, Ba Ba sent Uncle Jaron on a scavenger hunt all over Colton to find his last presents.

DSC00502

We followed in the car so we could stay nice and warm.

DSC00521

After several clues, Uncle Jaron had to get in his car for the next clue. We are hot on his tail!

DSC00527

One of the clues involved GPS coordinates, so Uncle Jaron is trying to figure out exactly where to go.

DSC00532

The coordinates took us to the cemetery. Check out my outfit. It includes my new coat, tu tu, and hat. I had to wear it all!

DSC00533

DSC00535

DSC00540

The clue at the church took us back to the slide in my backyard.

DSC00543

From there we headed inside where the missing presents had been placed.

DSC00545

Uncle Jaron got an antenna for his radio!

DSC00550

We had lots of fun helping to plan his scavenger hunt!

DSC00556

After a full day of sugar, presents, and fun, we settled down to a yummy Christmas dinner.

It was such a wonderful day with my family celebrating the birth of Jesus! Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve, 2013

We had a great Christmas Eve! We started the festivities by decorating cookies with Ba Ba and Na Na.

DSC00300

DSC00303

While Daddy was frosting cookies for me I snuck a cookie. I sure did a good job on making these.

DSC00307

Putting on sprinkles with Mommy.

DSC00322

Ba Ba let me control the sprinkles. He obviously doesn’t know what I’m capable of.

DSC00326

DSC00335

After cookies, I took a snuggle break with my babies.

DSC00339

DSC00340

Then it was time for our Christmas Eve service in my new dress.

DSC00342

My absolute favorite part of the outfit was my beautiful black shoes. I couldn’t stop looking at them!

DSC00370

After we got back from the Christmas Eve service, it was time to open my Christmas Eve pajamas.

DSC00373

DSC00377

I got two pairs of penguin pajamas. I thought they were owls so I kept saying, “Hoo Hoo.”

DSC00381

I loved them!

DSC00384

DSC00382

It was a great Christmas Eve!

I went to bed anticipating Christmas tomorrow. Santa and I are still not friends, so I refuse to believe that he’s sneaking into my house while I sleep. Maybe I’ll decide he can come next year.

Christmas Cookies

We made sugar cookies tonight!

DSC00243

Daddy and I mixed the flour and baking powder while Mommy mixed the other ingredients.

DSC00246

We make a great team!

DSC00248

DSC00253

DSC00250

Once I got bored, I started playing with the cookie cutters.

DSC00251

Modeling my cookie cutter bracelet.

DSC00255

DSC00257

DSC00258

I see you!

DSC00259

Then it was time to roll out the dough and start cutting out some cookies.

DSC00260

DSC00262

DSC00267

After cutting out each cookie, I left my fingerprint in most of them (as you can see in the tip of the candy cane). I just want these cookies to be unlike any others you’ll see.

DSC00269

Our first batch is ready to go in the oven!

DSC00273

Checking on the cookies. They’re looking yummy!

DSC00275

We had Christmas music playing, so while I waited for the cookies to finish baking, I did some dancing.

DSC00276

DSC00277

Tired out from the dancing, so I brought my chair in to take a break.

DSC00279

DSC00280

Mommy and Daddy were talking about how Christmas is a way to celebrate the birth of Jesus. I recognized the name “Jesus” and ran to get my Bible.

DSC00283

I sat there quietly reading my Bible while Mommy and Daddy slaved away on the cookies.

DSC00285

DSC00287

DSC00292

We’re going to frost the sugar cookies on Christmas Eve with Na Na and Ba Ba, but Mommy let me have a plain cookie after dinner.

DSC00293

DSC00294

DSC00296

I was one happy girl!

DSC00297

We ended the night by reading “The Elf on the Shelf.” It’s a new book that Grandma and Grandpa sent to me as an early Christmas present. It also comes with an elf, but Mommy says the elf won’t really come out to play until next year.

Only three more days until Christmas and I can’t wait!

Snow!

We had quite a bit of snow yesterday, so Mommy, Daddy, and I went out to play this morning.

DSC00194

DSC00196

Daddy helped make a snowball for me so I could…

DSC00197

Throw it!

DSC00201

Then Daddy showed me how to make a snow angel.

DSC00203

After checking him out for awhile…

DSC00204

I decided that I would give it a try.

DSC00206

DSC00207

DSC00210

I’m not sure that snow angels are my favorite thing, but Mommy and Daddy are proud of me for giving them a try!

DSC00216

I seem to be enjoying myself in the snow more than last year.

DSC00219

DSC00226

We thought it would be fun to clear the slide of snow.

DSC00227

DSC00228

I loved going down the slide, but I got a little stuck at the end.

DSC00229

We’ll try it again with the snow already gone.

DSC00230

Wow! I went much faster that time!

DSC00231

Then Daddy and I decided to take a walk to the post office.

DSC00234

On the way, Daddy showed me how to jump in the snow.

DSC00237

I’m still figuring out how to move in the snow, though, so I needed a little assistance from Daddy in order to jump.

DSC00241

Bye, bye Mommy! See you when we get back from the post office!

Gymnastics

My friend, Kate, has been going to gymnastics for awhile, so I decided to try it out with her today!

DSC00164

I enjoyed jumping on all of the bouncy surfaces!

DSC00165

I did an awesome job of walking on the balance beam!

DSC00166

I’ve only been here for five minutes and I love this place already!

DSC00168

Kate showed me how to jump in the foam pit.

DSC00169

I enjoyed it until I realized that I couldn’t really move in it. Then I was done.

DSC00172

Bouncing, bouncing, and more bouncing!

DSC00174

After we had time to explore the gym, we did an obstacle course. Here is Kate showing me how it’s done.

DSC00176

After the obstacle course, we had time to do some running. We had a jingle bell tied around our ankle, and then later our wrist. I loved the noise!

DSC00179

We were asked to do the bear crawl. Kate happily obliged.

DSC00178

I ran away.

DSC00181

Moving quickly!

DSC00182

Then it was time to work on the bars. Kate showed off her monkey-like skills.

DSC00183

And here are my skills. I definitely take after my not-so-nimble mother.

DSC00184

Crawling through the gingerbread house.

DSC00186

Climbing over the bar.

DSC00187

After we were done, we got a snowman stamp on our feet. I had to pull my shoes off on the way home to check it out.
