On Thursday I crawled over the top of my crib and fell to the floor, flat on my back. So, even though 19-months-old is much earlier than Mommy and Daddy were ready for it, I get a toddler bed!!
Daddy put it together on Friday night. I wasn’t too sure what to think of it at first.
After a while, though, I decided that I could help him out.
Daddy obviously needed some blankets to keep him warm while he worked.
What, Daddy? You didn’t want blankets? Don’t worry…I’ll figure something out.
Testing out the strength of the bed.
Helping to put in the last of the screws.
Hmmm…feels pretty good.
The crib is now in my baby brother’s room, and I have my very own toddler bed!
This definitely doesn’t hurt as much when I fall out of it. It’s a good thing because I’ve tumbled off of the bed over a dozen times tonight.
Okay, I think I can do this.
And…I’m out (without getting out of bed once)!
I had a really good first night in my toddler bed! Mommy and Daddy seem to recall hearing me get out of bed at 5:30 a.m., but since it was dark outside and I don’t have a nightlight in my room, I got right back into bed and slept until 7 a.m. When they went in to get me, I was waiting patiently for them in my bed. They are so proud of me!
Nap time was much more fun today because it was light outside and I was ALONE in my room. When Mommy came into my room I had books strewn all over my bed and was as happy as could be. Mommy didn’t seem as happy about this as I was, but I’ll figure it out eventually. I’m getting to be such a big girl!
