Harvest Festival

Last night we went to the Harvest Festival at our church.

052

My costume this year is a Cabbage Patch Doll.

053

055

056

060

Once we got to church, there were tons of games to play.

062

Once I picked a duck out of the pond, I got a prize.

063

This is the start to many sweet treats for the night.

065

We got there pretty early, so Daddy and I got to do the cake walk by ourselves.

066

I stopped on number five, and what do you know…number five was the number drawn out of the hat! I got to pick out a yummy cupcake.

067

I spun the wheel to win some play dough.

070

Then Daddy and I decorated a cookie.

072

I attempted to throw the ring around some water or pop.

075

I won some water!

077

I had ladybugs painted on my arm.

078

081

083

Then I got to make some cool designs on a pumpkin. I really liked this part of the night!

084

087

I worked up an appetite with all of those activities. Time to take a break for pizza!

090

093

We saw lots of friends there, but our favorite costume of the night goes to Ian, Kristy, and my new friend, Emma.

094

There is Emma with her popcorn hat. Isn’t that awesome?!

096

I tossed a hula hoop onto a pumpkin for a yummy treat.

097

Our last activity of the night was the maze in the sanctuary. We were expert navigators!

098

100

I found my friend, Hazel, at the end of the maze.

104

I don’t love bees, so I wasn’t exactly sure what to make of her costume.

105

Mommy and Daddy thought we were cute, though!

106

Jeff and Daddy dressed up as each other. They’re so goofy!

109

We ended the night with some fun family pictures.

110

I seriously had so much fun! Thanks EBC for a fun night. I can’t wait to bring my little brother next year!

Carving Pumpkins

Mommy, Daddy, and I had a fun afternoon carving pumpkins!

003

I picked out my very own pumpkin. It’s the perfect size for me.

005

I didn’t want to help Mommy clean out my pumpkin. Instead I wanted to help Daddy with the carving.

008

Daddy and I make a great team!

012

There was no way I was touching those pumpkin guts with my hands!

014

Daddy worked hard on cleaning out his pumpkin.

017

I’m here to assist with whatever Daddy needs!

018

Checking out my pumpkin to make sure there are no more guts in there.

023

Seeing my carved pumpkin for the first time. I felt that a kiss was appropriate for this occasion.

025

Daddy asked me to make a silly face with my pumpkin.

033

I love my pumpkin so much that I had to give it a hug.

034

And another hug.

035

After the carving was done, Daddy and Mommy sorted out the pumpkin seeds. We toasted them this evening, and they were delicious!

040

Our pumpkins during the day…

042

…and at night. I love this tradition!

Raking Leaves is Hard Work

Mommy and I went out to rake leaves this afternoon.

005

I was a big helper!

006

008

009

Once the rake got too heavy, I decided that it would be best for me to add leaves to the pile one leaf at a time.

010

Very efficient.

012

Then I decided to try running through the leaves. I liked it until the scratchy leaves touched my hands. I was happy to go through with Mommy, though.

016

Having a talk with the tree that made this mess. I told him to stop, but I don’t think he’ll listen. Maybe he needs a time out.

017

I tend to get a little distracted from the task at hand.

021

Having fun in the leaves.

024

Mommy and I should definitely do this more often. I loved exploring these leaves!

Stella’s 2nd Birthday Party

My friend, Stella, turned two-years-old today. The theme of her birthday was Hello Kitty.

005

The birthday girl decorating the fun table.

006

008

And here I am testing out whether Mommy will let me stand on the furniture in someone else’s house. The answer was definitely, “No.”

009

Stella’s beautiful mommy, Crystal.

011

There was lots of yummy food.

012

017

I had lots of fun playing with Stella’s toys.

020

This is the table that we could draw on, put stickers on, and glue pom-poms on. It was great!

026

I had other friends come, so I really enjoyed playing with them as well.

035

Present time!

037

I just couldn’t stay away from the presents, so while Stella was showing off one of her toys, Crystal let me sneak in to open one of the presents. Thanks!

039

042

043

Back to the table to decorate for awhile.

046

These stickers have endless possibilities.

047

048

Time to sing “Happy Birthday” to Stella!

049

051

Time to blow out the candle and make a wish!

Stella, I’m so glad that we’re friends, and I hope you had a very special day! Happy Birthday!

My Toddler Bed

On Thursday I crawled over the top of my crib and fell to the floor, flat on my back. So, even though 19-months-old is much earlier than Mommy and Daddy were ready for it, I get a toddler bed!!

003

Daddy put it together on Friday night. I wasn’t too sure what to think of it at first.

006

After a while, though, I decided that I could help him out.

008

009

011

018

019

022

Daddy obviously needed some blankets to keep him warm while he worked.

023

025

What, Daddy? You didn’t want blankets? Don’t worry…I’ll figure something out.

027

032

Testing out the strength of the bed.

035

Helping to put in the last of the screws.

040

Hmmm…feels pretty good.

044

The crib is now in my baby brother’s room, and I have my very own toddler bed!

048

052

This definitely doesn’t hurt as much when I fall out of it. It’s a good thing because I’ve tumbled off of the bed over a dozen times tonight.

053

Okay, I think I can do this.

054

And…I’m out (without getting out of bed once)!

I had a really good first night in my toddler bed! Mommy and Daddy seem to recall hearing me get out of bed at 5:30 a.m., but since it was dark outside and I don’t have a nightlight in my room, I got right back into bed and slept until 7 a.m. When they went in to get me, I was waiting patiently for them in my bed. They are so proud of me!

Nap time was much more fun today because it was light outside and I was ALONE in my room. When Mommy came into my room I had books strewn all over my bed and was as happy as could be. Mommy didn’t seem as happy about this as I was, but I’ll figure it out eventually. I’m getting to be such a big girl!

A Baby Brother!

Mommy and Daddy found out earlier this week that I’m going to have a baby brother. I want to say that I’m as excited as Mommy and Daddy, but I also think I’m not quite prepared for what’s coming in February. Let’s say at the moment that I’m waiting to see what this guy is like. Then I’ll decide how excited I am.

003

Mommy and I went shopping today for my baby brother. We got two cute items!

004

I especially like growling at the polar bear.

001

I’m already picking out his clothes. I think I’m going to be a great big sister!

Victoria’s Baby Shower

Hi everyone…I’ve decided to try something new. I’m going to invite a guest blogger onto my site. Her name is Mommy. I hope you enjoy her work! Here she is…

I had the opportunity to host a baby shower today for one of my dearest friends, Victoria. She is expecting a baby girl at the end of November. The shower was held in Spokane at the home of Victoria’s aunt. As you’ll be able to see, the theme was Winnie the Pooh.

004

005

007

011

016

The beautiful mother-to-be!

024

029

032

036

052

Go Cougs!

054

056

065

Each guest signed a bee hive with a message to Victoria’s baby girl, Adelee, which was then glued to this wreath. It serves as a guest book, but will also decorate Adelee’s room.

065

Once we know Adelee’s birthday, we will enter that into the empty hive hanging from the center.

057

A great shot of the pregnant ladies at the shower.

058

Silly faces while bumping our baby bumps.

066

The guests got to leave with a yummy treat.

060

I was very honored to get to do this shower for such a wonderful person. I love her so much, and can’t wait to meet her sweet baby girl!
