My friend Grayson had his first birthday party today at Sunnyside Park. Daddy had to work on the yard, so just Mommy and I went.
Grayson’s mommy designed this neat poster for him.
His birthday theme was “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” Just like my party!
Grayson and his mommy, Roseanne.
There were a lot of fun things for toddlers at this party! This was cloud dough (flour and oil mixture) that we could play in.
I was more content to watch the cloud dough action from afar.
Grayson had no problem climbing in and getting messy!
Such a boy!
I did manage to swoop in and grab a Mickey Mouse toy out of the cloud dough bin. I loved chewing on him.
Next it was time for finger paint. I wasn’t quite sure what to do. I did eat some, but that was okay because it was edible!
See my masterpiece! Watch out Van Gogh, here I come!
Since I couldn’t stay in one spot for more than ten seconds, Mommy and I walked down to see the ducks.
I really liked when they came close to me!
When we got back to the party, there was play dough.
I took one piece out of the container and carried it everywhere.
And I had to taste it (of course). It didn’t taste great, but it was edible play dough, so it was safe for me.
Mommy and I wandered over to the playground to do some swinging.
I love leaning my head back as far as I can when I swing. Mommy says I’m a big goof!
I spent a lot of the party playing with these toy cars.
I would put the wheels on the ground and have them zoom all over the place.
After lots of running around, it was time to sing Happy Birthday to Grayson.
He had a little mini cake to devour.
This is the cake the guests got to enjoy.
There were also yummy cupcakes. Mommy and I shared one of these. It was delicious!
After we finished our cupcake, we went to check on Grayson’s progress. Wow! He sure demolished that cake.
I had such a fun time at Grayson’s first birthday party. Happy Birthday Grayson!
