Easter

I am so grateful for Jesus coming to die on the cross for me. What a great gift!

070

I am also grateful for the Easter Bunny who visited my house last night.

077

We started off the day by reading about Jesus.

080

Opening my bucket of goodies from the Illinois Easter Bunny.

084

I love these bath toy bunnies!

091

Opening another bucket of goodies with books and some baby food.

095

My Great Grandma and Grandpa Adams sent some other fun treats. Thank you!

102

After a quick breakfast, we headed off to church for a special Easter service.

105

When we got home from church, I went down for a nap while Mommy and Daddy prepared everything for our Easter dinner. We invited friends over who didn’t have any family in the area. We were each other’s family today!

110

There were fun flowers at each spot.

115

Everyone also got a treat bag full of delicious candy.

121

Mommy made the ham and everyone brought a side dish to share. There was so much food!

125

Enjoying the beautiful weather and a fun Easter dinner.

126

It was fun to get to visit with everyone.

129

This was my table of friends.

130

This was Kate’s table of friends (although Mommy was silly and accidentally cut Kate’s head out of the picture).

131

And this was Saige’s table of friends.

134

After dinner was over, there was lots of playing on the swing set, as well as Frisbee and football!

137

I spent the last few minutes of my Easter walking around the neighborhood with Mommy and Daddy.

140

I am getting very speedy!

144

It’s hard to get a non-blurry picture of me because I’m always on the move.

Overall, it was a great day. Happy Easter everyone!

A Beautiful Saturday!

We woke up today and it was in the mid-60’s and sunny. It was perfect!

002

We started out the day with an Easter egg hunt.

007

We met at Mirabel’s house and walked down to the park together.

012

It was my nap time. I wasn’t too sure about everything.

013

There were a LOT of kids. There was backup in case things got out of control.

016

They had a separate area for each age group, so I got to be with all of my one-year-old friends. Here is Mirabel finding her first egg.

017

What am I supposed to do with this?

020

Daisy and Kylie were very good at this! They’ve had practice.

022

Daddy is trying to explain things to me.

026

I finally understood that I’m supposed to put the eggs in the bucket. (This is such a weird tradition.)

027

Collecting eggs.

029

Checking out the competition to see how I’m doing.

032

Daisy and Mirabel resting after the excitement.

036

Showing off one of my eggs. Isn’t it beautiful?

042

I had such a fun time at the egg hunt!

045

We saw lots of friends at the park. Kate seemed to have done well in the egg hunt.

046

Kate’s big sister, Clara, said that she loved it!

049

After the egg hunt, we walked back to Mirabel’s house and had a yummy brunch with friends.

051

Then, after a quick nap, it was time for some Cougar baseball! The Cougs were playing Stanford.

053

Mommy put lots of sunscreen on me because the sun was sure bright today!

063

Courtney came over from Seattle on Thursday, so we have been able to spend a few days together.

067

She and I had a lot of fun together!

069

I made it through the entire game, and it’s a good thing I did because the Cougs won 8 – 5. Go Cougs!

Mirabel’s First Birthday Party

Today I got to go to my second birthday party of the weekend! I got to celebrate Mirabel who was turning one.

***Disclaimer: In all of these pictures I have a nice bump on my forehead. I fell and hit my head while walking around at the WSU baseball game this afternoon. This walking stuff is tricky.***

002

This was my party outfit. Mirabel’s birthday is on St. Patrick’s Day, which is when her party was originally planned. However, a lot of Mirabel’s family was sick, so it was rescheduled. I still wore green in her honor.

004

Mirabel is pretty in pink.

008

Lifting up her dress. Somebody needs to teach her that’s not appropriate.

010

The birthday girl had fun playing with toys during the party.

011

Mirabel’s grandpa made her a slide. It was fun!

013

Kylie and her mommy, Sarah.

014

The Shaw family

018

Time to sing “Happy Birthday” to Mirabel.

019

She didn’t really understand the singing either. Why do people do that?

023

Mirabel loved that lemonade cake!

026

Mirabel’s daddy helping her with the cake.

030

This is how you use a slide, right?

032

Kylie and Daisy chowing down on their cupcakes.

036

Time for presents!

041

Mirabel really liked the ribbon.

043

Daisy pushed me around in Mirabel’s birthday present.

044

I might have been a tad big for this doll stroller.

046

Then it was Kylie’s turn to push me around.

047

Happy Birthday Mirabel!

Sophie’s Third Birthday Party

It’s a weekend full of birthday parties! Today I got to celebrate my friend Sophie who is turning three.

012

It was a princess theme, so I made sure to wear my finest clothes.

017

Mommy helped me pin the lips on the frog.

018

Sophie’s turn to pin the lips on the frog.

024

Most of the party was spent keeping me away from the stairs. There’s just something so tempting about them.

026

Sophie’s mommy and daddy made her a castle. Isn’t it neat?!

028

Time to open presents. She’s sure working hard on this one!

031

She really liked the princess-themed presents we gave her.

036

Then we had some time to hang out and play.

039

After that, it was cookie-decorating time. Lots of pink frosting!

040

Parker working hard on his cookie.

033

The beautiful princess cake!

043

Singing “Happy Birthday” to Sophie.

058

Happy Birthday Sophie! I hope you had a wonderful day!

My First Birthday Party–The Happenings

There was so much going on at my party!

_MG_2476

There were coloring sheets for the kids.

_MG_2502

Mommy started the party by reading “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” to everyone.

After we had cake, I opened presents. I was great at eating the cards and grabbing the tissue paper.
