My First Valentine’s Day

I had such a great first Valentine’s Day! Mommy and I originally had some plans in the morning, but since I was sick, we made the best of our day at home.

022

My friends Crystal and Stella dropped by with some yummy rice krispie treats.

027

It was a little too big for me, so…

033

Mommy cut it up into Lainey-sized bites.

029

This was my dessert after lunch. I didn’t have enough room in my belly for my sandwich, but I definitely made room for all of my (first ever) rice krispie treat. It was amazing!!

023

While I was eating, our friendly UPS man stopped by with a package from Grandpa Jim and Grandma Shelly! We decided to wait to open the presents until later in the day.

035

Next I helped Mommy with some baking.

064

We made a raspberry chocolate cheesecake pie for Valentine’s Day dessert.

037

I was very helpful!

041

Next I spent some time playing with my heart-shaped balloon Grandma Melissa gave me last weekend.

044

I can’t believe it just floats up in the air! Amazing!

053

Mommy and I read a fun book about love.

056

I snuggled up in Mommy’s lap and we read for awhile.

061

When Daddy got home, we opened up the rest of our presents from Grandma and Grandpa Steck. Thank you!

059

My favorite part, though, was my card. Isn’t it neat?!

063

After I went to bed, Mommy and Daddy had steak, asparagus, and pink mashed potatoes.

066

Then they had the delicious raspberry chocolate cheesecake pie. I didn’t get to taste it, but Mommy said it was amazing. Thank goodness I was there to help her bake it. Happy Valentine’s Day everyone!
