Our daughter was featured on the official WSU Facebook page today. She’s one popular little kid!
Mommy and I didn’t have anywhere to go this morning, so we got to hang out together.
One of my new favorite things is to hold up an object so that everyone can kiss it. Go ahead, kiss my purple ball.
I don’t like to ride on this thing as much as I like to push it everywhere.
Playing with my piggy bank.
Here’s a close-up while I try to put the camera in my mouth.
Time for a picnic!
Back to get the camera!
I’m getting pretty good at serenading Mommy on the piano.
Sometimes I need to stop to check whether all of the equipment is working properly.
As soon as I’m done checking things out, I’m back to playing.
We have had some beautiful, sunny weather this week, but we’ve all been pretty sick and haven’t been able to enjoy it. On Saturday, though, we were all feeling better and the sun was out!
We bundled up in our snow gear to head outside.
I did all right in the snow, but only if Daddy stayed right by me.
I didn’t like it on my gloves, though. Daddy helped me get it off.
Next we headed back to the play structure in our backyard.
I could barely fit in the swing with all of my layers on, but I made it!
I love it when Daddy pushes me.
Then Daddy and I climbed up to the top of the play structure. It was really tall!
I went down my first slide! Daddy stayed at the top with me, and Mommy helped me slowly slide down the slide. I smiled the whole way down.
What a great day!
We don’t have a lot of carpet in our house, so when I find a rug, I take time to fully appreciate it.
I like to put my cheeks on the carpet.
I like to rest on the carpet.
I sometimes like to trick Mommy into thinking that I’m going to take a nap on the carpet. But, nope! No nap for me.
Even when your day is very, very busy with play dates and toys, always carve out a moment to stop and appreciate the carpet. You’ll be glad you did.
The area we live in is a very transitional area (mostly due to the university). It has been hard to watch several of our close friends move away. The Grunenfelder family will be leaving us to head to the west side of Washington. We will miss them and are very grateful for our time with them!
While Emma’s parents were busy packing, she and I got to have one last play date.
What? We’re busy here!
Emma got the memo to smile.
Emma is going to be a big sister in May, so I’ve given her lots of practice at sharing.
I had fun showing Emma one of my new favorite toys.
We loved chasing the balls around once they popped out of the elephant’s nose.
Good buddies. I’ll miss you Emma!
In case the title didn’t explain it well enough, I really, really love books!
These are a few of the books we keep in the living room.
I’m starting to get pretty good at turning the pages.
I also really like looking at the pictures.
You will often find me spread out on the floor reading a good book.
I think my favorite thing about books, though, has to be how chewable they are. They’re just perfect!
