I went to Dr. Mike’s office today for my 6-month checkup. I had to get shots, which aren’t my favorite, but I was a champ through everything. Here are my measurements:
Height: 27 inches (90th percentile)
Weight: 18 pounds, 6 ounces (90th percentile)
Head Circumference: 18 inches (95th percentile)
Did you see my height and weight percentiles?!?! I’m shrinking from my glory days of the 95th percentile. I’m so petite now. (Mommy and Daddy laugh at this, but I insist that I’m going to be able to start fitting into my skinny jeans soon.)
My head is still huge, though. Dr. Mike is pretty sure this is okay since Mommy and Daddy have extremely large heads, but he wants me to go get a cranial ultrasound tomorrow just to make sure there isn’t anything abnormal with my brain. I still have a nice hole in my skull that allows for cranial ultrasounds to be done. If I had this done several months down the road, I would have to have an MRI, which means I would have to be sedated. I would much rather have this easy ultrasound! I’ll keep you updated on what we hear tomorrow!
